5 Years Of Powercuts To Come .....

Matt West reported for This Is Money UK that while old power stations are retired over the next 5 years the UK will face increased risk of blackouts.

The Royal Academy of Engineering has foretold that Winter 2014 will see what is now considered an old national grid under extreme pressure - creating the possibility of huge blackouts. 

The Government-commissioned study learned that although while the national grid will cover projected levels of demand any extreme weather or unplanned plant outages will push it 'close to the limits.
